ClinicMind is looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Specialist who will be responsible for handling government remittances, tax compliance, and employee

compensation and benefits. 

 

Key Responsibilities

BIR Compliance & Government Reporting

  1. Prepare and file BIR returns including 1601-C, 2316, 0619-E/F, 2550M/Q, 1701/1702, and 1604-C/1604-E using eBIRForms and eFPS platforms.

  2. Maintain updated and accurate tax records and schedules in compliance with BIR regulations.

  3. Handle annual Alpha List preparation and submission, ensuring complete employee and vendor data.

  4. Respond to BIR letters of authority (LOA), notices, and audits by compiling required documentation and coordinating responses.

  5. Ensure withholding tax compliance for employees, suppliers, and contractors

 

Compensation & Benefits Administration

  1. Manage government remittances: SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG contributions, and employee loans, ensuring accurate deductions and on-time payments.

  2. Facilitate employee statutory filings such as SSS loan applications, maternity benefits, and Pag-IBIG multipurpose loans.

  3. Maintain updated employee compensation records including salary movements, allowances, and deductions.

  4. Support HR in the administration of employee benefits, monitoring usage, eligibility, and reimbursements.

  5. Ensure confidentiality and data integrity of payroll and employee compensation records.

Accounting & Financial Reporting

  1. Record payroll-related journal entries and reconcile payroll accounts monthly.

  2. Assist in month-end and year-end financial closings, ensuring all payroll and tax entries are accounted for.

  3. Maintain updated schedules of tax liabilities, benefits payable, and government contributions.

  4. Support in preparing financial reports and schedules for internal and external audits.
    Identify areas for process improvement in payroll and tax workflows and recommend automation or system enhancements.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.

  2. 2–4 years of experience in payroll, BIR tax compliance, or compensation & benefits handling in the Philippines.

  3. Solid understanding of Philippine tax code, labor law, and government reporting requirements (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, DOLE).

  4. Experience using accounting/payroll software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Sprout, GreatDay HR, or similar platforms).

  5. Proficient in MS Excel; able to create pivot tables, vlookups, and perform payroll reconciliations.

  6. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a high level of confidentiality.

  7. Excellent communication and coordination skills when dealing with internal departments and government agencies.
